Description
Nisus PenaShield® is a professional-grade, ready-to-use wood preservative, termiticide, and fungicide designed to protect bare wood from wood-destroying insects and decay fungi. Its penetrating borate formula absorbs into the wood to provide long-lasting protection for structural wood in crawl spaces, basements, attics, and other approved interior and exterior applications.
PenaShield contains 8.5% disodium octaborate tetrahydrate (DOT) and helps control and prevent subterranean termites, including Formosan termites, drywood termites, wood-boring beetles, carpenter ants, and decay fungi. The ready-to-use formula requires no mixing and can be applied to bare, dry wood with a brush or low-pressure sprayer.

Common Applications
PenaShield® can be applied to bare, dry structural wood in approved areas such as crawl spaces, basements, attics, framing, joists, subfloors, decks, and other interior or exterior wood applications. Apply by brush or low-pressure sprayer according to label directions.
For exterior applications, long-term protection depends on maintaining an appropriate water-repellent finish. Interior treatments are considered permanent under normal conditions unless the treated wood is exposed to repeated moisture or high humidity.
Always read and follow the product label for approved application sites, target organisms, application rates, surface preparation, and use requirements.
